Chika Nwoba, the spokesperson for the opposition People's Democratic Party in Ebonyi State, remains in Abakaliki Correctional Centre even after being granted bail. In February, Nwoba’s troubles began when he accused the Ebonyi State Commissioner for Commerce and Industry, Oguzor Offia-Nwali, of misappropriating N3 million meant for empowerment. Following a petition by Commissioner Offia-Nwali, Nwoba was arrested.
