Rivers United’s Threat to Withdraw from NPFL

In a memo addressed to the Nigeria Football Federation, Rivers United have declared their intention to pull out from the Nigeria Premier Football League, citing alleged unfair treatment by the league.

The former champions of NPFL expressed their dissatisfaction with the actions taken by the league in the past.

Rivers United are scheduled to face Remo Stars in one of their postponed matches on Monday.

These games were delayed due to Rivers United’s participation in the CAF Confederation Cup.

To accommodate Stanley Eguma’s team in completing their outstanding fixtures, NPFL has been put on hold for a week.
