EPL: Haaland Hits Back at Keane for ‘League Two Level’ Diss

Erling Haaland, the prolific Manchester City forward, has fired back at former Premier League star Roy Keane over recent derogatory remarks.

Keane had criticized Haaland, labeling him as “almost League Two level” after Manchester City’s goalless draw with Arsenal in the previous month.

At that time, Haaland was on a five-match goal drought, and City failed to score in a Premier League fixture at the Etihad Stadium for the first time since October 2021.

During a segment on Sky Sports, Keane remarked, “The level of his overall performance is quite low, not just today. His performance overall, considering the player he is, is subpar. He needs to work on that; he performs like a player from League Two.”

Following Manchester City’s win against Wolves over the weekend, Haaland was asked about Keane’s disparaging comments about his performance.

In response, the Norwegian coolly stated, as reported by ViaPlay, “I have no interest in that individual, so it doesn’t bother me.”
