The EFCC has refuted claims of firing at demonstrators supporting Yahaya Bello
Denying allegations of shooting at protesters in support of Yahaya Bello at their Abuja headquarters, the Economic and Financial Crime Commission (EFCC) clarified the situation.
Dele Oyewale, the spokesperson for the commission, addressed a viral video on social media that depicted purported attacks by EFCC operatives on demonstrators.
Oyewale, speaking to NAN, emphasized that there was no shooting incident involving protesters and the commission on that Monday.
He clarified that EFCC personnel were involved in dispersing demonstrators who had arrived at the headquarters with intentions to disrupt operations.
"Contrary to claims made by the group, no arrests were conducted," Oyewale stated.
