Yobe State: Woman Attacked and Stabbed by Unknown Assailants

Reports indicate that in Damaturu, the capital of Yobe State, an unidentified group of delinquents stabbed a 24-year-old female salesperson.

The victim, Sheba Simon, was attacked on her way home, according to sources.

The incident occurred on a Sunday night, April 28, 2024, around 9:30 pm close to Damaturu Academy in Malari Bye Pass.

Upon discovery of the victim covered in blood, residents of the area promptly informed the security authorities.

Reliable sources revealed that Sheba was ambushed from behind and stabbed with a knife by the assailants, who also made away with her phone.

She was promptly taken to Damaturu’s Specialist Hospital for medical attention and is currently showing signs of improvement.

On the other hand, the Yobe State Police Command, through its Public Relations Officer, DSP Dungus Abdulkarim, has confirmed the incidence in an official statement released to the media.

The Command expressed disapproval of the violent behavior and assured that all necessary measures are being taken to apprehend the culprits and ensure justice is served.

Furthermore, the public is advised by the Command to promptly report any suspicious activities involving individuals, vehicles, or objects to the nearest police station or security authorities for immediate action.
