The Crackdown by NAFDAC on Substandard Bakeries and Water Factories in Rivers
Three substandard bakeries and a sachet water factory in Port Harcourt have been shut down by the National Agency for Food and Drugs Administration and Control, also known as NAFDAC.
According to a statement released by Cyril Monye, the Public Relations Officer for the South South Zone, these bakeries were operating in makeshift wooden structures, manufacturing products in unhygienic conditions.
Situated in Rumuparali and Mgbuoba within the Obio/Akpor local government area of the state, the facilities were found to be operating without proper registration and failing to comply with safety regulations as outlined by NAFDAC.
