Pep Guardiola: Winning Titles Not Crucial for Manchester City’s Success
Sports

According to Manchester City manager, Pep Guardiola, achieving victory in the Premier League or FA Cup is not a make-or-break factor to determine the success of the season for his team. In the upcoming match against Wolves, City might begin the game four points adrift of Arsenal if the Gunners secure a win over Bournemouth at the Emirates Stadium in an earlier fixture. A potential slip-up by Guardiola's side could create an opening for Arsenal to seize the league title. Nevertheless, Guardiola remains unwavering in his support for his players, emphasizing that the outcome of the matches will not alter his perception of their efforts. He expressed, "The result, whether a win or a loss, will not sway...

Mark Lawrenson, a former Liverpool player, has suggested that Thiago Silva, the Chelsea defender, could make a surprising move to Manchester United on a free transfer in the upcoming summer. Last week, Silva confirmed his departure from Stamford Bridge after a four-year tenure. Despite approaching 40 years old in September, the talented Brazilian has demonstrated his ability to perform at a high level. The surprising decision by NFF to appoint Finidi George over Amuneke for Super Eagles role

In some circles, the selection of Finidi George as the new head coach of the Super Eagles came as quite a shock. It was evident that the Nigeria Football Federation, NFF, favored a local coach for the national team. These appointments often swing back and forth. When a Nigerian coach underperforms with the Eagles, there are calls for a foreign coach, someone with more tactical acumen. But when a foreign coach fails, like Jose Peseiro did, the narrative changes. The focus shifts to supporting Nigerian coaches, emphasizing their knowledge of the players and the potential talent in the Nigerian Premier Football League, NPFL. The two leading candidates this time were Finidi George and Emmanuel Amuneke. Many observers expected the NFF to choose Amuneke. Amuneke earned praise for leading Nig...
