Reports have surfaced about a man known only as Azeez who tragically drowned in the Lagos lagoon while attempting to evade arrest over the alleged theft of bags of cement. Confirming the incident to NAN on Sunday was SP Benjamin Hundeyin, the spokesperson for the Police Command in Lagos. It was disclosed that the case was reported by the director of the Lagos State Emergency Management Agency (LASEMA) in Lagos Central at the Ikoyi Police Division around 12:20 PM on Friday. The director stated that he received a distress call around 10:45 AM on Friday regarding an incident at the Lekki/Ikoyi Link Bridge.
