Rejection of Consensus PDP Chairmanship Candidate in Kogi by Group
Rejecting Mona Anyebe as the consensus chairmanship candidate of the party in Kogi State is the stand of the Kogi State Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, Youth Frontier.
In a statement issued in Lokoja on Saturday, signed by President Umar Francis, the group insisted that the chairmanship should be filled by one of the candidates who went through the screening process.
Francis pointed out that, "Any individual who didn't undergo this process cannot stand to benefit from it."
Highlighting their concerns, Francis mentioned that a petition was submitted to the state caretaker committee and the national party headquarters, with evidence showing Mona Anyebe's suspension from his Ogugu Ward in Olamaboro Local Government due to anti-party activities, supported by all the ward executives.
