It’s Crucial for Shooting Stars to Effectively Utilize NPFL Break, Says Ogunbote

The coach for Shooting Stars, Gbenga Ogunbote, emphasized the importance of making the most out of the break in the Nigeria Premier Football League (NPFL) to sustain their current level of performance.

The NPFL has decided to pause the top-tier league for a month to allow Rivers United to catch up on their postponed games as the season nears its end.

Ogunbote stressed the need for the Oluyole Warriors to maintain their hard work during the break period.

According to him, “Every team, except those teams facing Rivers United, are affected by the break.”

He acknowledged their strong current form, expressing his desire for the season to continue without interruptions. However, he also added, “We will do our best to cope with the situation.”

He likened the players’ situation during the break to attending school without exams, where the motivation to study is low. Nevertheless, he assured they would strive to stay in competitive shape.

Shooting Stars presently hold the fourth position in the standings with 52 points from 32 matches, trailing the league leaders, Rangers, by just five points, with six games left in the season.
