Youths from the APC in Zamfara urge Governor Dauda to prioritize governance over wasteful spending

Governor Dauda Lawal of Zamfara State has been called upon by the Youth wing of the All Progressives Congress (APC) to utilize the state’s resources for the welfare of the people.

Expressing their concern, the APC youths questioned the governor’s failure to establish a Judicial Commission of Inquiry to investigate the ex-governor, Dr. Bello Matawalle, for alleged corrupt activities.

They highlighted that there is no existing court order preventing the EFCC from probing, arresting, and prosecuting Matawalle.

Additionally, the youths urged the EFCC and other relevant anti-corruption agencies to pursue contractors who didn’t fulfill contracts that were previously paid for by past governments.

A stern warning was issued to the PDP administration against defaming APC members in the state.

In a statement signed by its chairman, Abubakar Ibrahim Gusau, the youth group expressed dismay over Governor Lawal’s mismanagement of scarce state resources.

Addressing the issue, they emphasized the need for post-election unity and governance, rather than engaging in early politicking for the 2027 general elections.
