Man arrested by police for raping his 9-year-old niece in Adamawa

Authorities in Adamawa State have apprehended a 25-year-old man accused of sexually assaulting his nine-year-old niece. The man, identified as Abdu Hamidu, hails from Kwakwa in Hong Local Government Area, according to the Adamawa State Police Command. Reportedly, he enticed the young girl into his room and engaged in inappropriate behavior with her. According to a statement issued by SP Suleiman Yahaya Nguroje on Tuesday, the Command disclosed that the suspect, Abdu Hamidu, was taken into custody on Saturday, May 4. The arrest transpired following a report filed at the Kala’a Divisional Headquarters by the victim's father, who also happens to be the suspect's brother.
