Senator Ladoja Withdraws Lawsuit against Olubadan-in-Council

Former Oyo State Governor, Senator Rasidi Adewolu Ladoja, has decided to withdraw the lawsuit filed against members of the Olubadan-in-Council.

It is worth noting that Senator Ladoja currently holds the position of Otun Olubadan of Ibadanland.

He is also recognized as one of the distinguished High Chiefs comprising the Olubadan-in-Council.

Initially, Senator Ladoja had taken legal action against the Council members concerning the wearing of beaded crowns prior to the passing of the 42nd Olubadan of Ibadanland, Oba Lekan Balogun.

Information obtained indicates that Senator Ladoja has formally withdrawn the lawsuit, as confirmed by a source close to him.

A trusted aide of the former governor, Adeola Oloko, validated the withdrawal when contacted on Tuesday.

The resolution of the case in court is anticipated to pave the way for the coronation of Owolabi Akinloye Olakulehin as the 43rd Olubadan of Ibadanland.

As of now, the prestigious Olubadan throne remains vacant following the demise of the 42nd Olubadan, Oba Lekan Balogun.
