Deal between Kaizer Chiefs and Nwabali falters due to hefty price tag
Stanley Nwabali, the Super Eagles goalkeeper, has priced himself out of a potential move to South African club, Kaizer Chiefs.
Reports from South Africa indicate that Chiefs are interested in signing him but are unable to meet his transfer fee of R30 million (equivalent to approximately £1.3 million).
Following his standout performances for the Super Eagles during the 2023 Africa Cup of Nations in Cote d’Ivoire earlier this year, Nwabali has attracted interest from various clubs.
Clubs such as Saudi's El-Ettifaq and England's Queens Park Rangers in the Sky Bet Championship have been linked with a move for the goalkeeper.
Despite Kaizer Chiefs' initial enthusiasm for Nwabali, they have reportedly withdrawn from negotiations due to the high price tag.
