Attributing the narrow defeat of Sunshine Stars to missed opportunities, Kennedy Boboye, the team’s technical adviser, expressed disappointment with the result against Sporting Lagos.
During the match held at the Mobolaji Johnson Arena, the Owena Waves were defeated 1-0 by Sporting Lagos courtesy of Paschal Durugbor’s decisive goal.
Despite the loss, Boboye praised his players for their efforts, stating, “It’s not the outcome we were aiming for despite our strong performance. However, that’s the nature of football, and we remain undeterred.”
Finding positives in the match, Boboye acknowledged that derby games often unfold in such unpredictable ways and emphasized that the team’s focus is now on their upcoming fixture.
