PDP NEC: Wike trying to impress Tinubu, create supremacy battle with Atiku – Secondus

Allegations by Secondus: Wike’s Political Maneuvers Criticized

Uche Secondus, former National Chairman of the People’s Democratic Party (PDP), has accused Nyesom Wike, the Minister of the Federal Capital Territory, of attempting to stir up trouble to gain favor with President Bola Tinubu, who allegedly finds Wike’s political interference in the FCT tiresome.

Secondus claimed that Wike is fabricating conflicts within the party.

The PDP is scheduled to convene its 98th National Executive Council (NEC) meeting in Abuja this Thursday.

However, Secondus suggested that Wike is engaging in a power struggle facade with Atiku Abubakar.

In a statement released by his spokesperson, Ike Abonyi, Secondus asserted that the minister is slyly trying to insinuate a rivalry with Atiku Abubakar, the party’s presumed 2023 Presidential candidate and former Vice President. Wike, who seems to be losing political influence from Rivers to Abuja, is striving to project himself as a significant figure in the PDP, advancing his own interests associated with the All Progressives Congress (APC).

“The key party structures, including NEC, BoT, National Caucus, Governors’ Forum, State Chairmen, and National Assembly caucus, need to confront and marginalize troublemakers and busybodies like Wike in order to propel the party forward,” Secondus urged.
