Confirmation of the 3rd Coronavirus Case in Nigeria by the Federal Government

The Federal government has officially verified the presence of a third case of Coronavirus in Nigeria.   As stated by the Minister of Health, Osagie Ehanire, the patient is a Nigerian woman who recently arrived in Lagos from the UK. He reassured that she is currently in stable condition and receiving treatment at the Infectious Disease Hospital in Lagos.    The first confirmed case involved an Italian man who is still receiving medical care. The second case pertained to a Nigerian individual who had been in contact with the Italian man. After undergoing treatment, he tested negative for the disease.

Chelsea’s Reminder to Mason Mount for Breaking Club’s Coronavirus Self-Isolation Rules

Chelsea issued a reminder to player Mason Mount and the rest of their first-team squad about their responsibilities amidst the ongoing coronavirus outbreak. This came after Mount broke his self-isolation.   Mount was spotted playing football at Trent Park Football Centre in Barnet on Sunday with West Ham midfielder Declan Rice, despite the club's directive for players and staff to self-isolate for 14 days following winger Callum Hudson-Odoi's positive Covid-19 test last Thursday. West Ham's Rice, a childhood friend of Mount, was not required to self-isolate by his club, as no cases of coronavirus had been reported among players or staff at West Ham. Anne Giwa-Amu accuses Chimamanda Ngozi Adichie of plagiarizing her work; Chimamanda responds

60-year-old author, Ms Anne Giwa-Amu, accused Chimamanda Ngozi Adichie of Plagiarism and Chimamanda has now responded.   Giwa-Amu claimed that Chimamanda's "Half of a Yellow Sun" was plagiarised with bits of her work; "Sade: United we stand."     According to Giwa-Amu, in a YouTube video, she accused Chimamanda of plagiarism and also accused Chinua Achebe of playing a role in "giving" her work to Chimamanda who then rewrote it as Half of a Yellow Sun.   She explained how she published her work with the late Achebe, having her work reviewed by Heinemann's African Writers Series, of which Achebe was the Editorial Adviser.
