In an effort to elevate sports and various sectors within Lagos State, former Super Eagles midfielder, Waidi Akanni, has called on residents to throw their support behind Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu.
Following his commendation by the management of the Lagos State Health Services Commission for his generous support during the 2023 Inter-Hospital Sports Competition, Akanni, who previously served as the Chairman of the Lagos State Football Association, expressed his gratitude.
Dr. Sojinrin M.O, the LOC Chairman of the HSC Inter-Hospital Competition, penned a letter of appreciation thanking Akanni for his financial and moral contributions that contributed to the success of the 2023 HSC Inter-Hospital Competition.
In response to the letter, Akanni, also the CEO of Match International Limited, reaffirmed his dedication to enhancing societal welfare.
“It is imperative that we rally behind the government in its various endeavors. Our aim is to continue supporting and aligning with the numerous transformative programs spearheaded by Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu,” he emphasized.
