Heading to the party’s national secretariat, the ward executives of Dawakin Tofa Local Government Area in Kano State, from which the All Progressives Congress’ National Chairman, Dr Abdullahi Ganduje, hails, are set to pay him a solidarity visit on Wednesday.
Scheduled for 11.00 am, the visit is in light of recent events.
Just two days ago, Halliru Gwanzo, the Legal Adviser of the ward, took the step of suspending Ganduje amid bribery allegations he faces.
Gwanzo, speaking to reporters in Kano, mentioned that the decision was made in view of the bribery accusations against Ganduje by the Kano State government and his upcoming arraignment on Thursday.
However, the suspension imposed by Gwanzo was later overturned by the Kano state party leadership. In turn, they handed Gwarzo and some implicated party leaders at the ward level a six-month suspension.
