President Tinubu Assures Firm Action Against Threats to Sovereignty

President Bola Tinubu has vowed severe consequences for individuals who challenge Nigeria’s sovereignty and security.

He emphasized the progress made in combating banditry and kidnapping through intensified campaigns supported by intelligence gathering.

Tinubu, while meeting with leaders of the Yoruba socio-cultural organization, Afenifere, sternly stated, “Those attempting to jeopardize Nigeria’s sovereignty will face the consequences. We will not back down.”

Among the delegation were Afenifere leader Pa Reuben Fasoranti, Olu Falae, and other respected individuals.

In a statement titled ‘President Tinubu receives leaders of Afenifere, emphasizes commitment to economic security for all Nigerians,’ President’s Special Adviser on Media and Publicity, Ajuri Ngelale, disclosed details of the meeting.

President Tinubu reiterated his unwavering dedication to Nigeria’s unity and constitutional democracy, emphasizing the progress made in countering terrorism.

He affirmed, “Security is crucial for development. We have significantly degraded terrorism to a level where it poses no threat to Nigeria’s sovereignty.”

President Tinubu outlined plans to defeat banditry and kidnapping without paying ransom, emphasizing intelligence-driven operations.

He highlighted efforts to restructure Nigeria’s finances to enhance citizens’ purchasing power and promote prosperity through a cashless credit system.

President Tinubu stressed the importance of securing the country economically to achieve broader objectives.

He expressed commitment to empowering citizens through education, including initiatives like the National Student Loan Programme.

He assured Yoruba leaders of implementing the Consumer Credit Scheme and providing support to reduce unemployment rates.

President Tinubu emphasized the benefits of removing upfront cash payments to curb fraud and corruption.

He expressed gratitude to the delegation for their support and prayers, reaffirming his commitment to advancing Nigeria.

Earlier, Olu Falae commended President Tinubu’s decisions and ongoing projects’ progress in Nigeria.

Falae urged the President to uphold fairness, equity, and consider constitutional amendments for greater state empowerment.
