The Nigerian government has declared May 1 as a public holiday

There is an announcement from the Federal Government stating that Wednesday, May 1, 2024, will be observed as a public holiday in honor of this year’s Workers’ Day celebration. This declaration was made by the Minister of Interior, Olubunmi Tunji-Ojo.

On behalf of the Federal Government, Tunji-Ojo emphasized the importance of excellence, efficiency, and equity in all aspects of labor. He stressed the administration’s dedication, led by President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, to promoting a work environment that embraces innovation, productivity, and inclusivity.
