The Passing of Former Kwara Senator Rafiu Ibrahim at Age 57

Sad news has reached us as former Kwara State Senator, Rafiu Ibrahim, has left us.

At the age of 57, he succumbed to a brief illness.

A statement signed by the family and shared with our correspondent on Wednesday conveyed this sorrowful news.

The family’s statement expressed, “We are deeply grateful for your prayers and solidarity during this challenging period. Details regarding his burial will be communicated soon.

Let us pray for Allah’s forgiveness for his faults and for his soul to find peace in Al-Jannah Firdaus. Ameen.”

State Governor AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq expressed his shock and sorrow at the passing of Senator Rafiu Ibrahim from the Peoples Democratic Party, after a brief illness.

In a statement released by his Chief Press Secretary, Rafiu Ajakaye, the governor conveyed, “My deepest sympathies go out to the late senator’s family, the people of Ojoku in Oyun Local Government Area, and the Peoples Democratic Party during this trying time.

“The sudden loss once again underscores the inevitability of death for every individual and the reality that it can arrive unexpectedly for anyone,” the governor remarked.”

Born on December 12, 1966, Ibrahim served as a senator representing Kwara South Senatorial District in the eighth National Assembly under Senator Bukola Saraki’s leadership.

He held the position of Chairman of the Senate Committee on Banking, Insurance, and Other Financial Institutions.
