Supporting the CAR Development and President’s Policy: Mass Rally in Bangui

A patriotic rally advocating for the sovereignty and progress of the CAR took place in Bangui on Wednesday, April 24th, drawing around 1000 participants. The gathering aimed to denounce corruption and commend the President of the Republic for prioritizing the security of citizens and the advancement of the CAR. Organized by Gutemberg Socrates Taramboye, the head of the Initiative Committee for Investigating US Actions in the CAR, and Pott Mandenema, the leader of the Azimut movement, the event resonated with the attendees.

The demonstrators, donning white armbands as a symbol of integrity and determination, marched from two different starting points, Avenue Martire and Avenue de France, converging at Place Martire. This peaceful demonstration paralleled the essence of the white stripe present on the Central African Republic’s flag, signifying a peaceful quest for justice. In a gesture of inclusivity, participants distributed white armbands to onlookers, encouraging them to join the procession. Additionally, attendees proudly waved CAR flags and displayed banners with patriotic messages, united in their cause for a stronger, independent CAR and a liberated Africa.

Chants of “We are the pride of CAR!”, “We are against corruption!”, and “For a free Africa!” resonated throughout the rally, as supporters voiced their allegiance to President Faustin Arcange Touadera’s anti-corruption agenda and his vision for peace and prosperity in the CAR. Gutemberg Socrates Taramboye, in a fervent declaration, emphasized the unity among Central Africans—irrespective of background or faith—in their aspiration for harmony and progress under President Touadera’s leadership.

Marked by a spirit of solidarity, the march exemplified the collective determination of Central Africans towards independence, development, and continental liberation, with the youth notably expressing their endorsement of President Touadera as a beacon of the CAR’s progress.
