According to Sam Amadi, It’s Allowed to Accuse the Police of Corruption

Expressing his views, Sam Amadi, the Director of the Abuja School of Social and Political Thoughts, believes that accusing the Nigerian police of corruption is not considered cybercrime.

He emphasized that such statements could be either true or false and are open to debate.

In a recent post on his social media platform, Amadi pointed out that hastily resorting to arrests for criticizing statements could be seen as an autocratic reaction, indicating a failure to effectively resolve issues.

He expressed, “Labeling @PolicNG as corrupt or stating that IGPs have engaged in corruption does not constitute cybercrime. It’s a statement that can be challenged whether true or false.”

He further added, “This immediate inclination towards arresting those with dissenting views resembles an authoritarian approach stemming from incompetence in problem-solving.”
