The latest victory sees Messi shattering two records with Inter Miami

Major League Soccer (MLS) witnessed history being made once again as Inter Miami’s Lionel Messi set new benchmarks for goal contributions and assists in a single match during his team’s impressive 6-2 triumph over the New York Red Bulls at Chase Stadium on Saturday night.

The ex-Barcelona star showcased a remarkable performance, tallying six goal contributions and five assists, solidifying his status as a standout performer in the league.

With his scoring and assisting streak extending to six consecutive league games, Messi has etched his name in the MLS record books.

Praising Messi’s incredible performance, Inter Miami’s head coach, Gerardo Martino, hailed it as a historic moment in the annals of MLS.

“Every goal was crucial in the match, but what Leo accomplished tonight with five assists and one goal is truly historic,” remarked Gerardo Martino during his post-match interview.

“While I must acknowledge Suarez’s hat trick and Rojas’ brace, I must point out that Rojas’ first goal was exceptional.

“However, due to the sheer skill displayed in Leo’s assist, I have to highlight Luis Suarez’s scissor-kick goal as my personal favorite.”
