Reasons Behind Arsenal’s Decision Not to Pursue Osimhen Revealed by Romano

Fabrizio Romano, a renowned transfer expert, has shed light on why it is unlikely that Victor Osimhen will be signed by Arsenal, a Premier League club in search of a new striker.

Arsenal has been consistently rumored to be eyeing Osimhen as a potential addition to their squad under the management of Mikel Arteta.

Nevertheless, Romano suggested that the significant financial implications associated with Osimhen’s transfer could pose a major obstacle.

During his daily briefing, he mentioned, “I have received inquiries from fans regarding reports from Italy indicating that Arsenal’s interest in Victor Osimhen has waned due to concerns about his high cost and the complexity of negotiations with Napoli.”

He further added, “While Osimhen is highly valued, many clubs are exercising caution in order to assess salary and commission packages, given the existence of a substantial release clause that needs to be taken into account.”

“Hence, Arsenal is exploring alternative options in the striker position, with Viktor Gyokeres being one of the contenders on their shortlist,” he elaborated.

Aside from Arsenal, Chelsea, a fellow club from London, and Paris Saint-Germain, the reigning champions of Ligue 1, are also rumored to have shown interest in acquiring Osimhen.
