Police arrests suspects involved in foiled Abuja bank robbery

Today, the Abuja police command displayed the suspects from the recent bank robbery incident in Mpape, located in the FCT. One of the suspects, Larry Ehizo, holds the position of Customer Relations Officer in a bank.   The robbers entered the bank with the intention of stealing money but surrendered after one of their group members was killed by security operatives.  The initial story can be read here.   Larry brought three other accomplices - Timothy Joe, 21, Princewill Obinna, 24, and Elijah David, 19 - to the bank in an attempt to steal a large sum of money.    Larry, who planned the robbery, also drove his cohorts to the bank in his car and provided them with directions on how to access the vault. The arrested herdsman confessed to raping a 54-year-old woman to death in Ebonyi state. The 20-year-old, Laolu Isa, admitted to committing the heinous act under the influence of alcohol. Naira Marley given last chance to appear in court over alleged car theft

The court has granted Naira Marley one final opportunity to appear in relation to allegations of car theft. President Buhari approves appointment of Ahmad Salihijo Ahmad as the MD of Rural Electrification Agency

President Buhari has given approval for the appointment of Engr. Ahmad Salihijo Ahmad as the Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of the Rural Electrification Agency (REA). The news was relayed by the Minister of Power, Engr. Mamman Sale through a statement issued by his Special Adviser on Media and Communications, Aaron Artimas, in Abuja. Additionally, President Buhari also appointed Chief Olaniyi Alaba Netufo as the Executive Director for the South West, and Eddi Mietuade Smith Julius as the Non-Executive Director for the South-South.
