After a devastating gas explosion in the Lagos community of Abule Ado, the Nigerian government has reportedly initiated a plan to reclaim the area and address the destruction of properties as well as the loss of lives.    During a visit to the explosion site, Umar Saliu Buntu, Acting Managing Director/Chief Executive Officer of Federal Housing Authority, revealed the government's intention to reclaim Abule Ado.    According to Nigerian Tribune, Buntu pointed out that the Nigerian government had acquired a significant expanse of land from Ojo Cantonment down to Trade Fair in the 1970s.
