A Twitter user sparked a debate after sharing an experience where a man, whom he offered free rides to and from work, asked to be repaid the 500 Naira he had borrowed.
@Boss_Fbillion tweeted: “So I borrowed 500 from this guy I normally take to work & bring back home in my car. It was 4 days ago. I had forgotten.
“Dude legit told me today that I am owing him.
“I help this guy save 1000 everyday & he could let 500 slide ?”
His tweet led to a debate as some told him that money borrowed has to be paid back, even if you offer favours to the money lender. However, some said this shows the money lender is not worthy of his help.
