Reno Omokri suggests that the Kaduna state governor, Nasir El-Rufai, is leveraging the dethroned Emir of Kano, Sanusi Lamido Sanusi, to gain favor from Southern Nigerians in pursuit of his 2023 presidential aspirations.
Sanusi was dethroned on Monday, March 9th, and Governor El-Rufai has been the only governor to visit him during his confinement in Nasarawa state, demonstrating consistent moral support after the dethronement.
Reno believes that Governor El-Rufai’s support for the deposed Emir serves an ulterior motive. He shared his thoughts on Twitter, expressing suspicions about El-Rufai’s intentions with the display of solidarity.
