Urgent Plea: Police Seeks Public Help to Reunite Three Siblings with Their Parents

The Akwa Ibom State Police Command is reaching out to the public for assistance in locating the parents of three brothers who were found by a compassionate individual.

According to the Police Public Relations Officer in the state, ASP Timfon John, the children – Daniel Akan, Matthew Akan, and Japhter Akan, aged between three and six – were discovered along Oron road in Ibiaku Ishiet on April 30, 2024.

ASP Timfon John stated that the boys have been taken to the State Criminal Investigation Department (SCID) Family Unit and is appealing to anyone with relevant information about their parents or relatives to get in touch with the Police Public Relations Officer via 0916 983 9213 or 0903 243 5667, or to visit the nearest police station.

In a portion of the statement, it mentions: “The command wants to inform the public that three siblings, who are all from the same parents – Daniel Akan (6), Matthew Akan Christian (5), and Japther Akan Christian (3) of Ikot Akpa Efor Uruan, were discovered by a concerned Nigerian on April 30, 2024.

“The kids were found along the old Oron Road in Ibiaku Ishiet and were subsequently taken to the Dakada Division of the Police Command. Despite efforts by Police operatives in Dakada Division to locate the parents or relatives of the boys, they have not been successful.

“In an effort to find the boys’ relatives or guardians, they were transferred to the Ibesikpo Asutan Division and then to the State Criminal Investigation Department (SCID) Family Unit.

“Under the leadership of CP Waheed Ayilara, the Akwa Ibom State Police Command is dedicated to ensuring the safety of the lives and property of the people of Akwa Ibom.”
