Kogi Governor Ododo Pledges to Combat Youth Unrest

In a recent statement, the governor of Kogi State, Ahmed Usman Ododo, reiterated his commitment to maintaining peace and safeguarding the lives and properties of the state residents.

Speaking at an interactive meeting with youth and student leaders at the Government House in Lokoja, Governor Ododo emphasized his administration’s determination to thwart any potential threats to the prevailing peace and security.

As part of his efforts, the governor promptly authorized the disbursement of bursaries to all Kogi State students in higher institutions nationwide and mandated the immediate settlement of outstanding subventions owed to youth and student organizations within the state.

Expressing dismay over the actions of individuals aiming to disrupt the peace and stability of the state, Governor Ododo adamantly declared his stance against any endeavors to incite violent demonstrations in any area of Kogi.

He urged law enforcement agencies to swiftly apprehend and prosecute individuals involved in any form of public misconduct that could jeopardize the peace and security of the state.

Furthermore, he called upon the youth and students of Kogi State to be vigilant and not allow themselves to be manipulated by individuals with malicious intent, emphasizing the importance of unity and progress for the state’s development.
