Recent Operations in Kaduna: Police Apprehend 280 Suspects and Rescue 158 Kidnapped Victims

Recent reports from the Kaduna State Police Command reveal that around 280 individuals suspected of criminal activities have been apprehended, while approximately 158 kidnapped victims have been successfully rescued since the beginning of the year.

During a press briefing held at the command, the Force Public Relations Officer, ACP Olumuyiwa Adejobi, shared these updates on Thursday.

Highlighting the progress in their crime-fighting initiatives, Adejobi expressed satisfaction with the accomplishments, especially in the Abuja-Kaduna expressway and surrounding communities within Kaduna State over the specified time frame.

An important initiative introduced along the Abuja-Kaduna expressway, as pointed out by Adejobi, has significantly contributed to the overall success of these operations.

Under the directive of the Inspector-General of Police, a helicopter has been deployed to provide escort services for trains operating along this route, offering aerial support to ground troops from various security agencies as a preemptive security measure.

“The helicopter’s role in this proactive approach has played a crucial part in preventing potential attacks and acting promptly in case of any unforeseen incidents,” affirmed Adejobi.

He emphasized how this strategic deployment has effectively boosted security measures along the corridor, resulting in increased safety for both commuters and residents of nearby communities.

Delivering a positive update, the police spokesperson declared, “Our consistent and proactive efforts have yielded significant results in curtailing criminal activities during this period.”
