The police officer involved in the shooting incident at a Lagos gas station has been identified by the authorities

In a recent update, the Lagos State Police Command has confirmed the identification of the officer responsible for the shooting of a young man named Toheeb Eniafe at a petrol station.

This information was conveyed in an official statement by SP Benjamin Hundeyin, the Police Public Relations Officer for the state, on Thursday.

According to the statement, the suspected shooter is a police officer currently serving at Special Protection Unit (SPU) Base 17 located at Lion Building in Lagos.

An ongoing investigation is in progress, with additional details to be released in due course.

Furthermore, the Lagos State Police Command is collaborating with the victim’s family to ensure that justice is served appropriately and without any biases.

As reported by PUNCH Online, the shooting incident occurred at a petrol station owned by the Nigerian National Petroleum Company Limited in Obalende, Ikoyi area of Lagos State.

Eniafe tragically lost his life during a confrontation when he and others resisted attempts by security personnel to bypass the fuel queue.
