The head coach of Sunshine Stars, Kennedy Boboye, has openly admitted that he has faced challenges in implementing his preferred style of play within the team.
Boboye assumed control of the team following the dismissal of Edith Agoye earlier in the season.
Under his guidance, the Owena Waves have encountered difficulties and are currently fighting to avoid relegation.
Speaking to the media, Boboye expressed, “It has not been smooth sailing as Sunshine Stars coach.”
He elaborated, “The main issue is that I have struggled to instill my tactical approach, which has impacted our performance.
“While the existing players are competent, I have a particular style of play and require players who align with that.
“We will continue to strive until the season concludes.
“In preparation for the upcoming season, we intend to recruit a significant number of new players.”
