Kebbi’s sporting development remains a top priority for Idris

Stressing his administration’s unwavering commitment to enhancing sports standards in Kebbi State, Governor Comrade Nasir Idris affirmed this dedication.

The reassurance came during the closing ceremony of the Kebbi State Youth Parliament Cup Tournament at the FIFA mini stadium in Birnin Kebbi, held on Sunday.

Idris promised to support and promote sports activities state-wide, aiming to encourage youth participation and provide platforms to showcase their talents.

He pledged to offer necessary assistance to the stadium to empower athletes to engage in competitions within and beyond the state. He emphasized, “Today, I am directing the provision of clean water to this stadium, along with the purchase of jerseys and sports shoes for each club in all 21 Local Government Areas.”

Idris further highlighted, “I am pleased with what I witnessed, and with the grace of God, my administration operates with transparency and inclusivity for the youth.”

The tournament, organized in partnership with Kaura for the governor’s group, aimed to strengthen unity and foster positive relationships among the state’s youth.

The final match featured Birnin Kebbi/Kalgo/Bunza Federal Constituency against Augie/Arugungu Federal Constituency, concluding with a penalty shoot-out.
