Israel to Enhance Collaboration with Nigeria for Sustainable Agriculture

The readiness of Israel to strengthen its partnership with Nigeria for the promotion of sustainable agriculture in the African nation was affirmed by the Israeli Ambassador to Nigeria, Michael Freeman.

In an interview with journalists on Tuesday in Abuja, Freeman, who also serves as the Permanent Representative of Israel to ECOWAS, highlighted the commitment of his country to the collaboration.

The discussion took place during an executive roundtable organized by Gov. Bassey Otu of Cross River in conjunction with the diplomatic community, aimed at increasing visibility of the business investment climate within the state.

Freeman stated, “Israel has a strong partnership with Nigeria, and we are eager to enhance our collaboration with the various states in the federation.”

He further mentioned, “We are keen to engage with the Government of Cross River, particularly focusing on opportunities within the blue economy sector.”

Although no formal agreements have been finalized yet, Freeman emphasized that the investment implications of the partnership between Israel and Cross River would be substantial.
