Three coaches have been shortlisted for the assistant coaching role with the Super Eagles by the Nigeria Football Federation, NFF.
Emmanuel Amuneke, Daniel Amokachi, and Michael Nsien are the contenders for the position.
The NFF announced the appointment of Finidi George as the head coach of the Super Eagles on Monday.
Amuneke, who was previously a leading candidate for the head coach position, has experience as an assistant to Samson Siasia and Augustine Eguavoen.
Former forward Amokachi also has a background as an assistant coach with the national team.
At 52 years old, he worked as an assistant to late coaches Shaibu Amodu and Stephen Keshi.
Nsien, a former U-23 Eagles defender, currently serves as the head coach of the United States America U-19 team.
