Cole Palmer reveals details of penalty dispute with Chelsea teammates during EPL match

During Chelsea’s impressive 6-0 victory over Everton in the Premier League, midfielder Cole Palmer found himself in a dispute over a penalty with his fellow teammates, Nicolas Jackson and Noni Madueke.

The talented Palmer managed to score the first three goals in just 30 minutes, with Jackson adding the fourth in the 44th minute.

In the second half, Chelsea was awarded a penalty kick, leading to a disagreement among the players regarding who would take the spot-kick.

Reflecting on the situation after the match at Stamford Bridge, Palmer, a 21-year-old England international, shared his thoughts with Sky Sports:

“There were other players who expressed interest in taking the penalty, which is understandable given our lead. However, as the designated penalty taker, I wanted to step up and take the responsibility.”

“We all aim to demonstrate our willingness to contribute and take charge, though perhaps the argument escalated a bit unnecessarily. Despite that, it was all in good spirits, and we even had a laugh about it. The manager has since clarified the situation for us.”
