Challenge from Ikhenoba to Insurance Teams to Enhance Performance Despite Victory Over Pillars

The assistant coach of Bendel Insurance, Greg Ikhenoba, has highlighted the need for the improvement of insurance players following their recent win against Kano Pillars. Ikhenoba mentioned that the technical team will address the identified weaknesses observed during the match.

Reflecting on the game, Ikhenoba acknowledged that there were numerous errors made by the players in the first half, despite securing a 2-1 victory over Sai Masu Gida.

He praised the team for their determination to secure maximum points during the match. The goals from Sunday Anyanwu and Meyinwa Oritseweyinmi orchestrated the comeback victory after Ibrahim Mustapha Yuga initially put Katsina United in the lead with a goal in the 13th minute.

Speaking to the club’s media, Ikhenoba expressed his satisfaction with the team’s performance, especially in the second half. He noted the delaying tactics employed by their opponents after taking the lead in the first half but was pleased that Bendel Insurance managed to stage a comeback and secure the win.

Following this victory, Bendel Insurance currently holds 41 points from 30 games in the ongoing campaign.
