Burna Boy Named in TIME’s 100 Most Influential People of 2024

The 100 Most Influential People of 2024 list by Time Magazine features Nigerian singer, Burna Boy, also known as Damini Ogulu, who has won a Grammy.

Renowned Beninese singer Angelique Kidjo penned Burna Boy’s tribute on Time’s official website.

In her tribute, she emphasized Mr. Ogulu’s crucial role in the global recognition of African music.

Angelique Kidjo writes, “Burna Boy has transformed that vision of African music acknowledgment into a worldwide actuality. By drawing from the treasure trove of Nigerian traditional music, he upholds the legacy of the iconic Fela Kuti. He is creating history with his achievements.”

Additionally, Burna Boy was recently listed among the select group of personalities in Essence Magazine’s esteemed compilation of the Sexiest Men Of The Moment.
