Confirmed reports highlight Brentford’s latest acquisition of Nigerian defender, Benjamin Frederick, on a permanent signing.
Initially arriving from the esteemed Simoiben Academy in Kaduna on a loan deal with a buy option in the past summer, Frederick has now sealed a long-term contract with the club.
Renowned transfer expert, Fabrizio Romano, has revealed Brentford’s decision to exercise the buy option, securing Frederick’s services until June 2028.
Having made a notable impact during his time with Brentford’s B team over the past year, the 18-year-old has impressed the coaching staff with his performances.
Additionally, Frederick also represented Nigeria in the U-20 World Cup held in Argentina last year, where the Flying Eagles advanced to the quarter-final stage before bowing out of the tournament with a narrow 1-0 loss to South Korea.
