APC Chieftain Lukman Advises Kwankwaso on Presidential Ambition and Relationship with Ganduje

In a recent statement, Salihu Lukman, a former member of the All Progressives Congress (APC) National Working Committee (NWC), expressed doubt about the presidential ambitions of Rabiu Kwankwaso, the 2023 candidate of the New Nigeria People’s Party (NNPP). Lukman suggested that achieving the presidency would require extensive relationship-building and negotiation for Kwankwaso.

During an appearance on Channels Television’s Politics Today, Lukman encouraged Kwankwaso to reconsider his ties with APC National Chairman, Abdullahi Ganduje. He emphasized the need for a revamped relationship between the two parties and leaders to enhance the prospects of Kwankwaso’s presidential aspirations.

Lukman stated, “Senator Kwankwaso’s ambition is to occupy the highest office in Nigeria. However, given his current position, it seems highly improbable for him to secure the presidency without significant nation-wide networking and dialogue. If we expedite the process by welcoming him back into our party and recalibrating his connections with Dr. Ganduje and other leaders, while introducing fresh perspectives, it could greatly bolster public confidence in the party.”
