Court denies ex-gov Yahaya Bello’s request to lift arrest order
In a recent development, Justice Emeka Nwite, presiding over the Federal High Court in Abuja, has rejected the appeal made by former Kogi State governor, Yahaya Bello, to lift the arrest warrant placed against him.
The Judge stated that Bello, through his persistent refusal to appear in court for arraignment in a criminal case, had shown contempt towards the court, voiding any possibility for leniency.
