Rivers United’s Next Season will Include Continental Football, According to Nwagua

Nyima Nwagua, the captain of Rivers United, maintains a positive outlook on the team’s prospects for competing in continental football next season.

The Pride of Rivers recently played to a goalless draw in a rescheduled match against Kwara United on Thursday.

Currently positioned 11th on the Nigeria Premier Football League table with 41 points, Rivers United still have three matches pending.

Expressing confidence in the team’s abilities, Nyima emphasized the importance of their character in achieving their goals.

Reflecting on their encounter with Kwara United in Ilorin, he stated, “In Rivers United, we value character. We possess a firm belief in consistently striving for excellence.”

While acknowledging that some may doubt their right to claim a spot in continental competitions, Nyima reiterated their unwavering resolve to reach those heights through dedication and hard work.

Rivers United’s upcoming game is against Sunshine Stars scheduled for Sunday.
