The NSCDC in Ondo State is Prepared for Yoruba Nation Agitation

To ensure the safety and security of Ondo State, the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC) has instructed its divisional officers and tactical teams to remain on high alert and prevent any intrusion by Oodua Nation agitators.

During the weekly muster parade where the corps reviewed their operations during the recent Eid-el Fitr celebration, the NSCDC commandant in the state, Oluyemi Ibiloye, emphasized the need for preparedness and also directed the teams to be ready for any other troublemakers.

In a statement released to the press by the command’s spokesperson, Aidamenbor Daniel, Ibiloye conveyed, “The Intelligence Department, Armed Squad, Counter-Terrorism Unit, Rapid Response Squad, and operations must maintain a heightened state of readiness to prevent security lapses similar to the recent incident in Oyo State from occurring in Ondo State.”

He stressed the importance of this alert status, particularly as political parties are holding rallies in the state, attracting diverse crowds.
