Protesters at APC Secretariat Accuse External Forces of Anti-Tinubu Plot

On Monday, members of the ruling All Progressives Congress, APC, made their way to the party’s Secretariat in Abuja to express their discontent with certain individuals whom they claim are scheming to disrupt the party.

Former Commissioner of Lands and Urban Development, Nasarawa State, Prof Salihu Ahmad Alizaga, who led the protesters, alleged that external forces were manipulating the recent suspension of the party’s National Chairman, Abdullahi Umar Ganduje.

In his address at the party secretariat, Alizaga stated that those behind Ganduje’s removal are also aiming to displace President Bola Ahmed Tinubu in 2027.

He emphasized, “Our message here is clear – APC stands united, free from discord as some in Kano State wrongly suggest. The media has been buzzing with news of suspensions and counter suspensions of our national chairman by non-APC members fueling agitation within the North Central Zone.

“Recently, the North Central Elders/Stakeholders Forum expressed confidence in the national chairman, led by former Senate President Senator Ameh Ebute, Senator Jack Tilley Gyado, and Prof Nentawe Yiltwada, affirming their loyalty to the party’s leadership.

“Interestingly, agitation against our National Chairman from the North Central Zone appears to be primarily driven by individuals from the North East with only a handful from the North Central.

“It is evident that those pushing for the Chairman’s removal have their sights set on undermining President Bola Ahmed Tinubu for the 2027 elections. We refuse to compromise competence for mediocrity.”
