Reports alleging a reduction in the price of Premium Motor Spirit and Automotive Gas Oil by the Nigeria National Petroleum Corporation, NNPC, have been refuted.
In a statement released on Wednesday, NNPC’s Chief Corporate Communications Officer, Olufemi Soneye, dismissed the claims as false.
The circulated reports have been categorized as deceptive and should not be given any credence, as stated by NNPC.
As per the official statement: “NNPC Limited would like to clear up any misinformation about a potential price modification for Premium Motor Spirit (PMS) and Automotive Gas Oil (Diesel) at its retail outlets nationwide. The organization confirms that these claims are baseless and advises the citizens of Nigeria to completely ignore them.
“NNPC Ltd. reiterates its dedication to upholding the current level of petroleum product adequacy at all its retail locations throughout the nation.”
