NNPP Expresses Disappointment with Tinubu’s Leadership, Decrying the Burden on Nigerians

Criticism has been directed towards President Bola Tinubu’s governance approach by the New Nigeria Peoples Party (NNPP), citing the immense suffering imposed on Nigerians.

In a gathering held at his residence in Dutse, Malam Aminu Ibrahim Ringim, the NNPP leader and former gubernatorial aspirant in Jigawa State, voiced the party’s disapproval of Tinubu’s leadership style. He disclosed these sentiments after welcoming a significant number of APC and PDP loyalists who made the switch to NNPP.

Malam Aminu characterized Tinubu’s administration as authoritarian, emphasizing that the abundance of Nigeria’s resources should not coincide with the prevailing hardships experienced under the APC-led government.

The NNPP leader highlighted that despite granting the ruling party nearly a year of assessment, their performance has been unsatisfactory. Consequently, plans are underway to challenge the ruling party both at the national and state levels.

The primary objective of the gathering was to convene with NNPP leadership across all 27 local government areas in Jigawa State. The agenda was to deliberate on strategies to alleviate the suffering of Nigerians.

Malam Aminu reiterated NNPP’s commitment as an opposition party, asserting their determination to halt the current state of affairs.

He underscored, “The ruling party must be held accountable to ensure that Nigerians can thrive without enduring unnecessary hardships.”

Malam Aminu urged Nigerians to refrain from the cycle of “collect and vote” in the upcoming general elections to safeguard the nation’s future.
