NNPCL Denies Reports of Lowering Petrol Pump Price

On Wednesday, the Nigerian National Petroleum Company Limited refuted claims that it had reduced fuel prices, labeling the reports as baseless.

NNPCL responded to allegations circulating in certain media outlets (excluding PUNCH Online) that there would be a decrease in prices for Premium Motor Spirit and Automotive Gas Oil.

The Chief Communications Officer of NNPCL, Olufemi Soneye, dismissed the rumors in a press release to journalists.

Soneye urged the public to ignore such claims.

In the statement, it was clarified, “NNPC Limited would like to address the false rumors of an impending price adjustment for Premium Motor Spirit (PMS) and Automotive Gas Oil (Diesel) at its retail outlets nationwide.

“The company categorically denies these allegations and advises Nigerians to disregard them completely.

“NNPC Ltd reiterates its commitment to maintaining the current adequate supply of petroleum products at all its retail locations within the country.”
